Growing up, I participated in team sports. I am naturally a competitive person and have always been passionate about health and fitness.
After starting a family my health and fitness were put on the back burner. By the time my youngest was almost a year old I was overweight, out of shape, tired all the time, and unhappy with my appearance.
My husband and I joined a traditional gym; I focused mainly on cardio and was unsure about lifting weights. At the gym one day I caught a glimpse of the CrossFit Games on TV and was in awe and felt inspired by the strong women I saw. All I could think to myself was wow; I want to be like that. I immediately started researching CrossFit more and this led me to CrossFit Burleson.
In 2013 my husband, my two daughters, and myself joined the CFB family and we have never looked back. After two years of CrossFit I decided I wanted to share my passion for fitness and help others learn how CrossFit can change their lives just as it has for my family.
In 2017 I began coaching and learning all I could about my new passion. I am great full for the athletic foundation that CrossFit has provided my teenage daughters who both play sports for their schools and on travel teams. I look forward to sharing my love and knowledge for CrossFit with the CFB community.
